| Bio: | Who am I? I'll have to get back to you on that as I'm still figuring out the answer to that question. Here's what I do know: My driver's license tells me I'm twenty-six, but I feel much younger and sometimes I wonder if I'll ever be a real grown up. I am a mother and my son is the cutest, sweetest, and smartest three year-old I know. He's also thirty pounds of pure energy and is always on the go. One day I'll find a way to bottle up what he has and I'll be a millionaire, until then I'm content to just be "Mama." I'm a lover, a pagan, a geek, a gamer, and I can even be a bit of a bitch when I'm pushed hard enough. I was born and raised in South Carolina and will always be a Southern lady no matter where I wind up living. I drink sweet tea, eat boiled peanuts and fried okra, and I say "y'all" without a second thought. I know how to safely handle a gun and shoot it. I know how to clean a fish and fry it for cooking. Most of all I know how to make a good bowl of grits. I'm best described as a bleedin' heart liberal, but since this is my personal journal, I don't often engage in political discourse. I may rant if something gets me fired up, but usually I selifishly focus on what's happening in my life as opposed to the antics in Washington, D.C. I'm pro-choice and believe all women should be educated on matters of reproductive health and properly informed of all their options. I'm pro-homosexual marriage and am often baffled by the arguments presented against it. If this is a problem for you, leave now because I do not apologize for my stance on these issues. I'm a gamer and spend a good chunk of my free-time role-playing. I'm active in the Returner Games community and play Final Fantasy RPG. You can often find me on IRC on Espernet under the handle JadeNSC. I also do a bit of console gaming (mostly RPGs) and love my PS2, but I'll pull out my NES and SNES emulator and play old Nintendo games from time to time as well. If it's Final Fantasy then I at least know of it if I haven't played it yet. I will be buying a PSP soon for the sole purpose of playing Final Fantasy Tactics: Lions War. I love to write. No, scratch that. I need to write. I may never find myself published anywhere except the Internet, but writing has become one of my vices, if such a thing can be a vice. I mostly write about my various role-play characters and that means I typically write in the fantasy genre. I love to read fanfiction and I admit that I love the occasional slash pairings (mostly in the Harry Potter fandom). I have written one or two pieces of fanfiction before, but I find I am not really capable of writing it. I never think I stay true to the characters and so I prefer to let others weave wonderful stories for my enjoyment. Music is one of my many loves and I often post lyrics that appeal to me. I buy at least two new albums each month, and I'll admit now that, yes, I am a fan of HIM. I realize how lame this makes me, but so far I have resisted the urge to get a heartagram tattoo and a job at Hot Topic. I like to think my other musical tastes help make up for this fact. I'll sometimes gush about a new band that's fascinated me and often a song will inspire me to write about something from my life. Other facts about me you might find interesting are that I'm bisexual and polyamorous. I'm not currently seeking out any new relationships, but I'll never turn down the chance to make a new friend. If you think this will be a problem, don't friend me. Let's see, I'm tattooed but not pierced (yet). I love a good summer thunderstorm and have a fondness for A&W Root Beer. I prefer dogs over cats, but love both species as pets. I sometimes steal icons, but try to credit when I can. And now I'm just rambling.
